Social Media Coordinator

Gohar Gyurjyan graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Yerevan State University in 2020. In 2019, she studied at the University of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic, at the Institute of Social Work within the Faculty of Philosophy.

In 2020, she began her career as a social worker at the Social Day Care Center for Children in Yerevan, where she provided vital support to at-risk children. After the 44-day Artsakh war in 2020, Gohar returned to her homeland and began working at the Ministry of Social Development and Migration of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). There, she played a key role in implementing various social projects aimed at supporting individuals and families facing difficult life situations.

Following the Artsakh war of September 19, 2023, and the forced displacement of the population of Artsakh, Gohar and her family relocated to Yerevan. From January 1 to October 7, 2024, she worked as the Deputy Director for Organizational Work at the Mer Hooys “Nakashian Children’s Home” Children’s Support Center. She now continues her work there as the Social Media Coordinator.

Since 2021, Gohar has also served as a Sunday school teacher at the Charitable Danish-Armenian Mission NGO. Since October 2023, she has been the Program Coordinator for the “Light for the Children of Artsakh” educational program within the same organization.

In addition, Gohar has contributed her expertise as a lecturer, interviewer, and team leader, overseeing monitoring processes in various sociological research programs.

In 2024, Gohar got married and moved to Gyumri, where she now lives with her husband and daughter. Since December 3, 2024, she has been working as the Youth Work Coordinator at the Shirak Diocese Social-Educational Center. On January 1, 2025, she also began working at the SOAR Foundation as an Assistant Management Specialist.
